HEAD CHEF

We are embarking on an exciting expansion journey into central London. As we take our first steps into this vibrant culinary scene, we’re on the lookout for a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and spearhead our culinary offerings in the heart of the city.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role as Head Chef involves overseeing the operations of our kitchen within a dynamic, independent Sandwich deli. You’ll lead a team of kitchen staff members, ensuring smooth functioning and high standards at all times. Moreover, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing stock levels to support our shop, office catering, and Uber Eats services efficiently. Collaborating closely with the General Manager and Catering/Sales Manager, you’ll contribute to the overall success of our store. An integral aspect of your role will involve ensuring that our hygiene standards consistently earn us a 5-star rating, in close co-ordination with the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Run the kitchen smoothly, ensuring effective coordination among kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and throughout the store.
  • Supervise food preparation and service, maintaining quality and timeliness.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels for efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with other managers to achieve store objectives.
  • Roster kitchen staff efficiently to maintain coverage during operating hours, guaranteeing timely service, and upholding our rigorous food preparation standards.

Requirements

  • Hardworking, enthusiastic individual with a confident demeanour.
  • Prior experience in kitchen management or a similar capacity preferred.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work 45 hours per week, including weekends.
